Prepare your abstracts in advance of submitting it.
- Short Description (50 Word Max): The short abstract will appear verbatim in the program book. Your abstract should be created as a separate file and uploaded to this form. Create the abstract in a WORD file (.doc or .docx); no other format will be accepted. Name the file “FirstName.LastName.type of format” (eg. Joanne.Altman.Oral). Naming the file correctly is imperative. Your abstract should be properly formatted as directed below; pay attention to the use of bold, italics, asterisk, and capitalization. Your abstract may be rejected if it is not formatted correctly. We are expecting your best professional behavior. Be sure to spell-check your document before you upload it.
Please use the following format for your abstract:
Title of the Presentation in Italics, Capitalizing Each Word, and Bolded
Name of the Author(s) bolded (separate multiple authors with commas and write “and” before the last author. Place an [*] after the names of all authors who will be presenting)
Mentor: Write Mentor’s Name, Department (not bolded and do not use title of Dr. or Mrs. for consistency)
Begin abstract text…(no more than 50 words)
If you do not follow the directions for this summary it may be sent back to you to correct.

Excel files needed to complete abstract submission form
If you have undergraduate co-presenters who will be presenting with on the day of High-PURCS, please download this Additional Student Presenters Excel file, fill it out with the appropriate information, and upload it to the High-PURCS Abstract Submission Form. In order to fill out the Excel sheet, you will need to know the correct spelling of all co-presenter’s names, their student ID numbers, their HPU email addresses, and their class ranks (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior).
If you have additional mentors, please download this Additional Mentors Excel form, fill it out with the appropriate information, and upload it to the High-PURCS Abstract Submission Form. In order to fill out this Excel sheet, you will need to know the correct spelling of every mentor’s name, their HPU email addresses, and their department name.
