                                            Qubein Center Arena
HPU’s Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center is designed and operated with the highest level of detail, sophistication, functionality and elegance. The Arena is the home of the HPU men’s and women’s basketball teams, whose fans fill the purple stands with roaring energy and endless enthusiasm. Visitors say they feel as if they’re inside Madison Square Garden or a major NBA complex. It’s easy to see why. The scoreboard is the second largest in North Carolina, and the basketball court was designed by the architects who also created the home of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder.
But this isn’t just a facility for athletics. Beyond basketball, major concerts are held here by award-winning bands like Train, as well as dozens of community events. The Arena provides the latest audio/visual technology to create major productions while seating up to 4,500 guests.

                                            Conference Center
Adjoining the Arena is the Conference Center, an extraordinary space for up to 1,500 people that can be subdivided into nearly a dozen breakout rooms for captivating presentations. The audiovisual system includes 54 speakers, while the primary video screen is 43 feet wide. Well-known speakers such as Dr. John C. Maxwell, a New York Times best-selling author and global authority on leadership, have delivered impactful programs here.
At its core, the Conference Center is a place of connection for so many. Students find invaluable mentorship opportunities when they conduct research with a faculty member and present their findings during a symposium inside the Conference Center. They intern for the professionally trained University Events Team to gain real-world experience in their major, and they attend campus-wide Career Expos, where they impress recruiters, land jobs and watch their dreams become real.
