Innovative Technology at Kahn Law Library

The books at the Kahn Law Library are all equipped with a unique RFID tag. The use of RFID is part of a growing trend in libraries aimed at improving efficiency, security, and user experience. These RFID tags serve two main functions:

  • Security: The tags use ultra-high-frequency technology to track when any books leave or enter the library.
  • Self-checkout: The kiosk can recognize books by their RFID tag, allowing library users to check out material at any time.

Unlike traditional library security systems, our gates are completely hidden due to the ultra-high-frequency antennas, courtesy of Adilam. This allows the library to preserve its beautiful entryway.
