John Kasprzak
Director of Law School Career Development
Prior to serving as the Director of Career Development at High Point University, Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law, John held leadership roles in higher education administration for nearly two decades.  He has worked in Student Development, Human Resources/Compliance, and Institutional Integrity.  Most notably, John served as the Dean of Students at UNC School of Law for over 10 years.  In addition to his administrative leadership, John has worked as an adjunct professor teaching courses on Leadership, Writing, and Advocacy.
He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Western Carolina University, J.D. from UNC School of Law, M.A.T. from UNC School of Education, and B.A. from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Prior to attending law school, he was a high school mathematics teacher at Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina. After graduating from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Linda Stephens at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Diana Santos Johnson
Assistant Director of Law School Career Development

Diana Santos Johnson is the Assistant Director of Career Development at High Point University Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law. Prior to joining the HPU family, Diana practiced bankruptcy law in a variety of settings, including private law firms, solo practices, and legal services organizations. Diana is also a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Consumer Bankruptcy Law.

Diana is a frequent author and speaker on consumer bankruptcy and professional development topics. Her work has been published in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal, and she has presented and moderated programs for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, and regional bankruptcy conferences. Her speaking engagements include moderating substantive bankruptcy panels, leading interactive educational programs on bankruptcy rules and evidence, and facilitating career-development discussions for law students and early-career attorneys.

Throughout her career, she has received numerous professional accolades, including the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges Honorable Cornelius Blackshear Fellowship in 2012, NCCU Young and Rising Alumni in 2013, NC Lawyers Weekly Leader in the Law in 2017, American Bankruptcy Institute’s 40 Under 40 Class in 2021, Hispanic National Bar Association “Top Lawyer under 40” in 2023, and NCBA Citizen Lawyer Award in 2024, and been recognized as Legal Elite by Business North Carolina and featured in The Best Lawyers in America®. She was inducted into the North Carolina Pro Bono Society in 2017, 2018, and from 2021 through 2024 in recognition of providing 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services.

Diana is also active in various legal organizations, including the North Carolina Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.

Diana received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Wake Forest University and a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
