NWFA Collection

IWFA II-1 (2)

The National Wholesale Furniture Association (NWFA) was a non-profit trade association founded in 1925 and made up of wholesale furniture distributors from the United States and Canada.

The main objective of the organization was to promote and develop the growth of wholesale furniture distribution, help with solutions for distribution problems and management issues and foster goodwill between manufacture and furniture representatives.

In 1992 the name of the organization changed to the International Wholesale Furniture Association (IWFA) to reflect the addition of international members. Then in 2002 the Association became the International Furniture Suppliers Association (IFSA) reflecting the addition of wholesale distributors, importers, and manufacturers to the membership. The IFSA joined with the National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) in 2004.
