The School of Education Resource Center is a branch of HPU Libraries and supports the teacher education programs of High Point University’s School of Education. We primarily serve patrons who are students and faculty within the School of Education; however, resources are available to all members of the university community.

Our collection includes current, high-quality curriculum materials produced for use with children from kindergarten through grade 12. Particular emphasis is placed on collecting materials with immediate classroom application, supporting primarily practicum as well as children’s and young adult literature courses. We cover a broad variety of classic and contemporary juvenile books as well as periodicals, textbooks, kits, games, puppets, audiovisual and other assorted instructional materials for use with K-12 children.

Reference services, information services, and bibliographic instruction are also offered both to better integrate education coursework with library resources and to prepare pre-service teachers to model information literacy for future generations.
