How HPU helped you get there:
“I received amazing mentorship from caring faculty and staff throughout my four years at HPU. The Office of Career and Professional Development was always available to assist me with building my resume and searching for jobs. Most schools don’t offer this type of one-on-one mentorship. In addition, attending the fine-dining learning labs on campus helped me understand the proper etiquette for professional business meals.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“I have a long list of mentors at HPU who have made a huge impact on my life. Larry Quinn, chair of the Department of Marketing and Sales, has been there for me since my freshman year. He always expressed excitement for my successes and mentored me to become a motivated and determined individual.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moments at HPU took place at career fairs. I always left with a stack of business cards from well-known companies. The career fairs helped me expand my network and meet new people in my field. They also pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and interact with employers.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU’s inspiring environment shaped me into the individual I am today. The academic and career services and the intimate classroom structure sets students up for success. I credit HPU for helping me achieve a full-time job after I graduate.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation?
“Proper etiquette, respect and courage are just a few of the many values I developed at HPU. Being surrounded by caring and respectful students and faculty creates the best environment. HPU is a warm and welcoming community that provides a plethora of resources for students to prepare for the future.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“Join clubs related to your major and remember to have fun during your free time. Also, get to know your professors. They want to help you, so grabbing coffee with them to catch up and talk about your goals will help you succeed!”
