Small Curricular Revisions

When to Use This Form

Use this form to propose:

• Changes in distribution requirements within a major or minor that do not increase the total hours in the major or minor
• Minor changes in course descriptions, rewording of course titles, and renumbering (i.e. renumbering that does not change the level of a course)
• Changes in course prerequisites within the department of a designated course
• Dropping a designator or cross listing on a course
• Changes in the name of: college, school, department, program, center, institute, major, minor, concentration, or track

This form is for curricular revisions designated as minor points of notification and only require the approval of your Department Chair and Dean.

Important Updates

• The syllabus in your proposal will be considered a sample. All course content information must be answered on the form.
• A signed departmental approval page is no longer required.
• Proposals should be approved by your Department Chair before online submission. Department Chairs are notified of all submissions and may place proposals on hold if prior approval has not been obtained.

The Small Curricular Revision Proposal has merged with the Course Revision Proposal and is no longer hosted through this website.

Beginning August 17, 2026, the Small Curricular Revision form will be incorporated into the Course Revision Proposal and accessed through HelioCampus as part of APIRC’s transition to a more automated review system.
