Q When will the Points Program begin again?
A The points program for 2020-2021 will run March 1, 2020-February 28, 2021.
Q How do I get credit for activities done outside the EWC?
A Log additional activities into the Employee Wellness portal.
Q Do I have to enroll in the points program?
A No, if you elect to take medical coverage through High Point University, you are automatically eligible to earn points toward the Wellness Medical Plan for 2020-2021. However, you will need to set yourself up as a user in the Employee Wellness Portal.
Q I am not on the medical plan, can I still participate in wellness activities?
A Yes, the employee wellness center and wellness activities are open to all employees.
Q Are there showers at the EWC?
A Yes, the EWC has a shower and locker room area; however, due to COVID-19, the shower area is not available.
Q Will there be staff in the EWC?
A Currently, the Director of Employee Wellness has office hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Student staff are available Monday through Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30pm during the academic year.
Q Where do I park at the EWC?
A Parking is available in the EWC lot which is located on the far (north) side facing Wesleyan.
Q What hours are the employee wellness center open?
A The EWC is open 24-hours; employees must swipe their passport to access the facility.
Q Can family members use the EWC?
A At this time the center is for employees only.
Q Does the EWC have towels?
A Employees will need to bring their own toiletries and towels.
Q Do I need to bring my own lock for the lockers?
A Yes, the employees are encouraged to bring in their own locks for lockers each day. Lockers are single use, per day; locks left on for an extended period of time will be removed and the content of the locker will be placed in the Wellness office.
Q Do I have to scan my passport each time I come?
A Yes, the card scanner records your visit and applies your points. If you do not scan your passport, we have no record of your visit.
