Dean’s Student Advisory Council Archive

Class of 2025. Taylor is a PY2 in the Athletic Training Program. She is currently involved in the Athletic Training Club on campus, where she served as VP last year. Her post-graduation goals are to work in an orthopedic clinic and progress to being a surgical assistant! 

Class of 2026. Norah is a third-year student, and an Exercise Science major. She is planning on pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree post-graduation. She has been involved in undergraduate research with both Dr. Roger Vaughan, and Dr. Catherine Heyman, Dean of the Optometry Program.

Class of 2026. Camille is a first-year student in the Athletic Training program. She is a member of the Athletic Training Club, and she is currently doing her clinical rotation at East Davidson High School.

Class of 2025. Cody was the Exercise Science Club president for the past 2 years and now serves as a mentor for the club. After he graduates in the Spring, he will be taking a gap year to work as a PT tech/aide. He plans to apply to grad schools in the summer with the final goal of earning his DPT.

Class of 2027. Zachary "Zach" is the representative for the Class of 2027 in the Bachelor of Science program in Exercise Science, with a focus on Physical Therapy Studies. He is an active member of the Exercise Science Fellows program and a member of the High Point Men's Cross Country and Track Team.

Class of 2026. Valery is part of the psychology club, pre-OT club, and she is a Health Science Fellow. Her post-graduation goals include going to graduate school to obtain her master’s in occupational therapy.

Class of 2026. Jonathan is the president of the HPU DPT class of 2026. He is also a member of the SPTA SSIG as the Co-director of student involvement. His plans for life after graduation include starting his own business and providing therapy for people in need.

Class of 2025. Carlye has an undergraduate degree in B.S. Biology from HPU and is now studying in the Biomedical Science Master’s Program. She is an aspiring genetics researcher currently working with the NF1 gene in Vanessa cardui butterflies and choline kinase inhibition using natural green tea flavonoids in Streptococcus Pneumoniae bacteria. After I graduate this upcoming May, she hopes to obtain my PhD in Genetics and Genomics.

Class of December 2025. Jordan graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He has research experience in the fields of Positive and Social Psychology. His work experience includes being a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who implements treatment interventions designed to help children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) cope with any behavioral, communicative, social, or emotional deficits they may possess.

Class of 2025. Riley is a 3rd year Doctor of Physical Therapy student involved in HPU DPT Student Council, the APTA North Carolina Student Special Interest Group, APTA Federal, and the APTA Leadership Scholars Program. After graduating in April 2025, Riley plans to pursue orthopedic residency to become a board-certified clinician and get involved in academia.  

Class of 2025. Dylan is an Exercise Science Senior, minoring in Business Administration. He is also the Founding President of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club, the Captain of the HPU Gymnastics Team, VP of the Panther Motor Club, Member of the Exercise Science Club, and a Health Science Fellow. Dylan plans to continue his education into graduate school as a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at HPU.

Class of 2026. Molly is a Health Science Fellow and part of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Alpha Epsilon honor societies. Outside of class, she is a member of Exercise Science Club, Athletic Training Club, and she works as a Group Exercise Instructor for HPURec. She was recently accepted into the HPU MSAT program and plans to begin this May! 

Class of 2026. Isha is the President of Treadwell Society for the Graduate Student Government Association. She intends to work as a Physician Assistant, with an interest in a variety of specialties including but not limited to: Dermatology, Trauma/Burns, and Surgery. 

Class of 2027. Angelly is part of the intramural volleyball teams for both beach and indoor, which she also did in undergrad. Her post-graduation goals are “to be the best physical therapist I can be!”

Class of 2027. I am actively involved on campus as the SGA representative for the Athletic Training Club, social media manager for the Exercise Science Club, New Member Orientation Leader, Sophomore Sisterhood Representative, and member of the Art and Banner Committee for Tri Sigma. I also serve as a peer mentor, Rho Gamma for Panhellenic, and work as a lifeguard. After graduation, I plan to start my own sports business and work alongside a sports team in either massage therapy or social media.

Class of 2025. Hunter is the President of the HPU PA class of 2025. She is from St. Petersburg, FL and went to Vanderbilt University for undergrad. She has enjoyed getting involved in the HPU community and the college of Health Sciences.

Class of 2025. Katie is an Exercise Science major with a Psychology minor and a focus in Athletic Training. She participated in the 2024 Summer Research Fellowship, holds an executive position within Phi Mu, and intends to enter High Point University's Master of Science in Athletic Training program in May 2025.

Elizabeth is the Class of 2023 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, studying in the pre-physical therapy track with a minor in Spanish. Apart from Dean's Advisory Council, she is a member of Phi Mu, Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Professional Health Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, Club Softball, EMS Club, and Admissions Call Center.

Blair is a representative for the Master's in Biomedical Sciences program. She is anticipated to graduate as an inaugural member in spring of 2023.

Cody is a Class of 2025 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, studying in the pre-physical therapy track with a minor in psychology. He is also a member of Exercise Science Fellows, Club Basketball, and is the current Exercise Science Club President.

Piper is the Class of 2024 representative for Bachelor of Science in Nursing and obtaining a minor in French. She is a member of the French Club and Honors Program. Piper will begin attending clinicals this fall.

Bryce is a Class of 2023 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Apart from Dean's Advisory Council, he is a member of Athletic Training Club, Exercise Science Club, Young Life Club, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Black Student Union, and a Personal Trainer for HPU Recreation.

Madison "Madi" is the Class of 2025 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and is concentrating in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. She is also a member of Exercise Science Fellows and Club Volleyball.

Julia is the Class of 2024 representative for the Master's of Athletic Training program. Apart from Dean's Advisory Council, she is part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, National Honors Society of Leadership and Success, and Leadership Fellows.

Isabelle "Izzy" is the Master of Science in Athletic Training Class of 2023 representative. She is also involved in Athletic Training Club, Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory research, and is currently working her clinical rotations at the University of Florida.

Dylan is a Class of 2025 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He is also a member Exercise Science Fellows, Exercise Science Club, Club Gymnastics, and Club Ultimate Frisbee.

Nathaniel "Nate" is the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Class of 2024 representative. He is currently the 2024 DPT Student Class President.

Jessie is a representative for the Master's of Biomedical Science program as the inaugural Class of 2023 cohort. Apart from the Dean's Student Advisory, Jessie is a member of the Graduate Student Government Association and a Resident Assistant. During her undergraduate time at HPU, Jessie was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, HPU EMS, the neuroscience club, the pre-medicine society, and HPU Civitan.

John is the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2023 representative.

Abigail "Abbie" is the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2023 representative. She is currently the 2023 DPT Student Class President.

Alexis is the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2024 representative. She is also the President of the Treadwell Society for the Graduate Student Government Association.

Mallary is the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2022 representative. She is currently the 2022 DPAS Class President and involved with Graduate Student Government Association, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants.

As the Class of 2022 Master of Science in Athletic Training representative, Nathalie is currently working with the Wake Forrest Women's Soccer Team for her clinical rotation. She is also on High Point University's Women's Track & Field Team (pole vault).

Grant is the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2022 representative. He is currently the 2022 DPT Student Class President.

Kayla is expected to graduate December 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and minor in Psychology. She is Vice President of the Exercise Science Club and a member of Pre-Physical Therapy Club, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Catholic Campus Ministries.

Bryce is a Class of 2024 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and is on the (3+2) track for Master of Science in Athletic Training. Apart from Dean's Advisory Council, he is a member of Athletic Training Club, Exercise Science Club, Young Life Club, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Black Student Union, and a Personal Trainer for HPU Recreation.

Madison "Madi" is the Class of 2025 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and is concentrating in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. She is also a member of Exercise Science Fellows and Club Volleyball.

Isabelle "Izzy" is the Master of Science in Athletic Training Class of 2023 representative. She is also involved in Athletic Training Club, Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory research, and is the Chair of Program Advancement for Honors Scholar Program Board Committee.

Dylan is a Class of 2024 representative for Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and is on the (3+2) track for Master of Science in Athletic Training. He is also a member Exercise Science Fellows, Exercise Science Club, and Club Gymnastics.

Michael is expected to graduate in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He is the President of Exercise Science Club, and a member of HPU Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Club.

John is the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2023 representative. He is also the President of the Treadwell Society for the Graduate Student Government Association.
