On April 4, 2023, High Point University School of Law sponsored an interactive webinar titled “Demystifying Law School Admissions.” The event featured a panel of speakers who discussed how potential law students can discern whether law school is for them, how best to prepare for law school and the LSAT, and what to expect in the law school admissions process.

The panel featured Jennifer E. O’Connor, Law School Admission Council (LSAC) Ambassador, Crystal Barnett, Attorney at Khalil & Sheldon PLC and veteran LSAT prep instructor, and Natt Gantt, Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at High Point University School of Law. Mark D. Martin, Professor and Founding HPU Law Dean and former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, moderated the session.

The panelists shared helpful slides on many topics, including the LSAC registration process and LSAC services, LSAT sections and sample questions, insights into law school academic life, and tips on writing a law school application personal statement. The event concluded with a question and answer period, in which participants asked several questions of the panelists.
