Dean Martin Attends D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference

Founding Dean and Professor of Law Mark Martin attended as an invited guest the 2023 Judicial Conference of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Judicial conferences of the federal circuit courts are typically convened on a biennial basis, and the D.C. Circuit Conference was held this year on June 27-30.

Events at the conferences feature continuing education programming designed to improve the administration of justice within the circuit. In addition to the judges and their invited guests, the Attorney General of the United States, the Honorable Merrick Garland, attended the Annual Circuit Dinner at D.C. Circuit Conference this year. Prior to his appointment as the Attorney General of the United States, Garland served as Chief Judge of the D.C. Circuit.

According to Dean Martin, “It is always impressive to observe the diligence of our judges in maintaining their mastery of the law and in keeping abreast of recent legislative and regulatory changes. I appreciated hearing about recent developments in the court system and was honored to be on hand.”
