Lynn Trent, HPU Law’s Assistant Director of Law Admissions, journeyed to Philadelphia on September 10-13 to participate in the 2023 Law School Admission Council (“LSAC”) Newcomers Training Workshop—a four-day, intensive seminar that provides an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of law admissions for new admissions professionals.
Alongside 150 other individuals from around the country, Lynn attended sessions on Standardized Tests and Managing the Enrollment Process, just to name a couple. Beyond the educational programming, the conference serves to connect law school admissions professionals so they can learn from each other and improve the law school admissions process.
“The 2023 Newcomers Workshop was educating, enlightening, and so much fun,” said Lynn. “Not only did I walk away with a sea of knowledge from seasoned professionals, I also increased my drive and passion to serve HPU Law as we begin recruitment for our inaugural class.”
Founding Dean and Professor of Law Mark Martin added, “As HPU Law prepares to enroll its inaugural class in fall 2024, the information Lynn gleaned and connections she made will be critical to our success. We are grateful to have such a dedicated and friendly member on the team.”
