The High Point University Law Review

The Law Review

The High Point University Law Review is a student-run organization dedicated to publishing thoughtful and rigorous legal scholarship. The Law Review publishes two issues annually. Through the publication of articles, notes, comments, and empirical legal studies, the High Point University Law Review contributes timely analysis of contemporary legal challenges while serving as a valuable educational resource for its members.

Membership on the High Point University Law Review provides students with intensive training in legal research, critical analysis, and precision editing. Student editors examine complex legal questions at a depth rarely experienced elsewhere in law school and develop the skills necessary to produce original scholarship suitable for publication.

The High Point University Law Review publishes scholarship for lawyers, professors, law students, and judges nationwide.

Article Length

The High Point University Law Review joins other respected journals in recognizing that legal scholarship is often strengthened by clarity and concision.

Accordingly, the High Point University Law Review strongly prefers articles between 15,000 and 30,000 words (including footnotes), as we believe this range allows authors to develop their arguments fully while maintaining focus and readability.

The High Point University Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited manuscripts through Scholastica or by email to [email protected]. Please include a cover letter describing the article and explaining why it is a strong fit for publication in the High Point University Law Review. When an author submits an article by e-mail, the High Point University Law Review will correspond with the author via e-mail unless the author requests an alternative method of communication.
