| Dear Parents:
Preparing for the world as it’s going to be…From the freshman and senior Life Skills Seminars, to the 4-year Action Plan developed by the Career and Internship Services Office, to experiential learning opportunities implemented by stellar faculty, HPU is focused on preparing students as President Qubein puts it, “to be job creators, not job takers.” To keep students in an “entrepreneurial zone” HPU even leverages social media to highlight the opportunities they have to craft their own personal brand. Take Career Tip Tuesday Infographics as one small example:
Each week the Career and Internship Office provides a relevant infographic to underscore the importance of building career connections. The impact, of course, is not in this single message, but in the consistent delivery of the content. Whether in person at a career counseling session, in the classroom where faculty invite Career Counselors to engage with students, or even on Twitter and other social media platforms where students spend much of their time, HPU is connecting academics with career-based outcomes. The message is simple and constant: here are the tools, the support, and the advocacy of faculty and staff to help you succeed.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership, Roger Clodfelter Vice President for Communications |
