February 2015: Holistic Education
Dear Parents,
Thank you for attending our Winter Family Weekend February 6-8th. For those of you who weren’t able to attend, we missed you. We’ve posted photos from the event here.
At every Family Weekend, we are blessed to connect with so many wonderful HPU parents. Frequently you share your appreciation for HPU’s uniquely relevant holistic and values-based approach to learning. And while that praise is common, you should know it is never taken for granted. We are focused on delivering an extraordinary education in an inspiring environment with caring people. Our campus is full of talented faculty and dedicated staff who view their responsibility to partner with you and your student as an opportunity, not an obligation.
This month’s Parent Perspective highlights examples of HPU’s commitment to holistic education. From our Career and Professional Development Office that assists students connect meaningful experiences to the knowledge gained in the classroom, to our Service Learning Program that honors Martin Luther King, Jr by using the holiday for A “Day On, Not Off” service project. Every day at High Point University, we encourage students to actively choose to be extraordinary!
Know that your support and advocacy continue to energize the HPU culture as we collectively seek to plant seeds of greatness in the minds, hearts, and the souls of our students.
With respect and gratitude,
Roger Clodfelter
