A MESSAGE HPU PRESIDENT NIDO R. QUBEIN

Dear Parent,

This weekend, we will welcome thousands of families to campus for Winter Family weekend. We are very blessed and thankful.

This month’s Parent Perspective highlights examples of HPU’s commitment to instilling Life Skills in students. Our students are well-prepared. That is reflected in data collected by HPU in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) standards, which shows that 97 percent of the Class of 2018 were employed or furthering their education within six months of graduation. HPU faculty are focused on connecting meaningful experiences to classroom content to create well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world as it is going to be. From our School of Communication to the Office of Career and Professional Development, students are provided with opportunities to connect their passions with a future career.

While academic coursework nurtures the mind of your student, HPU’s holistic education extends beyond the walls of the classroom to nurture their hearts and souls. One example is HPU’s practice of “A Day On, Not Off,” in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service where faculty, staff, students and community members participated in 46 service projects, totaling 1,500 hours of community service throughout the city – part of the 110,000 hours of service contributed annually. HPU’s learning environment motivates your student to be the best version of themselves.

Know that we appreciate your continued support and advocacy.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nido Qubein
HPU President
