A message from HPU’s Dr. Stephanie Crofton, Vice President for Experiential Learning and Career Development; June 2020

Dear Parents:

Entrepreneursintrapreneurs and solopreneurs – oh my!

HPU is focused on preparing students, as President Qubein puts it, “to be job creators, not job takers.” This mission has never been more timely than today as our world is in a constant state of fluctuation.

Our passion to prepare students for the world as it is going to be includes a constant reminder to students that excellence is defined by relevance. And relevance only exists where value is created. A quick look at any of the “preneur” links above highlights the importance of HPU’s holistic education model.

From Dr. Qubein’s Freshman Life Skills Seminars, to the 4-year Action Plan developed by the Office of Career and Professional Development, to experiential learning opportunities implemented by stellar faculty, living in an “entrepreneurial zone” is critical for anyone to lead a life of success and significance in today’s rapidly changing economy.

The stories featured in this month’s Parent Perspective showcase scholarship, resilience, flexibility and a strong belief in values… many of the qualities you’ll also find in successful innovators and thoughtful leaders who collectively move the world forward.

As partners in this mission to prepare your student for a meaningful and rewarding life, we are grateful for your advocacy and support.

Thank you for your continued partnership,

Stephanie O. Crofton
Vice President for Experiential Learning and Career Development
