February 2024: A Message from HPU President Dr. Nido R. Qubein

Dear Parent,

This month, we welcomed thousands of families to campus for Spring Family Weekend. We are very blessed and thankful.

Because we value your feedback, we invited parents who attended to take a Family Weekend survey. We received overwhelmingly positive responses, as well as many messages of thanks for the life skills and values HPU instills in students. I am not surprised, but I am delighted to see how much our families appreciate HPU’s distinct approach to education.

You’ll appreciate that this month’s Parent Perspective highlights examples of HPU’s commitment to academic innovation and experiential learning. Our students are well-prepared with the ability to communicate with diverse groups of people, work well in teams, stay motivated and adapt amidst constant change. That is reflected in many stories you’ll see in this month’s newsletter, including HPU’s record number of Fulbright semifinalists, the exceptional global leaders and CEOs who have visited campus to mentor our students this semester, and the extraordinary accomplishments our students have achieved this semester, from performing with Iconic Tenor Andrea Bocelli, to leading a live pregame broadcast before our ESPNU men’s basketball game, and much more.

HPU’s faculty are not only experts in their disciplines, they’re also caring coaches and mentors focused on connecting meaningful experiences to classroom content to create well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world as it is going to be. Our campus is not only equipped with the finest technology for learning, but also engineered to help your student reach their fullest potential.

Our Office of Career and Professional Development continues offering students several workshops each week. They will also host a Spring Career and Internship Expo on Thursday, March 14, in our Conference Center.

As enrollment continues to grow, so do HPU’s academic programs. That’s why HPU receives numerous rankings as a top university in the nation. The world has taken notice of HPU’s academic excellence, and as coursework nurtures the mind of your student, HPU’s holistic education extends to nurture their hearts and souls.
