A Message from Lauren Whitley, Assistant Vice President for Communication Management

Dear Parents,

As summer unfolds, I hope you and your student are enjoying quality time together. At the same time, I want you to know that High Point University® loves and can’t wait to see your student this fall!

We are committed to supporting their success year-round and are gearing up for another outstanding academic year.

I want to remind you of some of the exceptional resources available to help your student thrive throughout their HPU journey.

Campus Concierge – Campus Concierge serves as a central resource for campus information and assistance, providing exceptional customer service to students and families. Concierge locations in the Slane Student Center, R.G. Wanek Center, Panther Commons, and Cottrell Hall offer convenient access to support across campus. Both you and your student can email [email protected] or call 336-841-4636 with questions. Watch for regular communications from Campus Concierge throughout the year with important reminders and updates.

Learning Excellence – Learning Excellence is a comprehensive academic support program designed to help students strengthen organization, time management, study skills, and strategies for navigating learning differences. This fee-based program provides individualized support and a personalized learning action plan tailored to your student’s needs.

Academic Services – The Academic Services team offers a variety of complimentary resources, including tutoring and writing support. Whether your student is looking to strengthen their understanding of course material, improve a paper, or develop stronger academic skills, our dedicated team is here to help them succeed.

Success Coaches and Academic Advisors – Success Coaches serve as both academic advisors and transition coaches during a student’s first year at HPU. They help students explore majors, build class schedules, stay on track for graduation, become involved on campus, and develop a strong sense of belonging. Beyond the first year, academic advisors continue to guide students as they pursue their academic and professional goals.

Global Education – Through the Norelli Office of Global Education, students have access to a wide range of transformative study abroad opportunities. Students interested in exploring the world while earning academic credit are encouraged to visit the office or contact [email protected] to learn more.

Even throughout the summer, High Point University® remains focused on student success. Know that your student will be joining a caring community dedicated to helping them thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

At Your Service,

Lauren Whitley
