Sales Accreditation & Awards

Every sales student is guaranteed an internship, and every Selling Club competitor has come home with job or internship offers.

Accreditation for the B.S.B.A. in Sales

High Point University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). That accreditation includes the B.S.B.A. in Sales offered by the David S. Congdon School of Entrepreneurship, the sales concentration in the furniture industry and the sales minor.

An Internship Guarantee

HPU guarantees every sales student an internship, so the first real selling experience happens before graduation. Recent students have interned in sales at WPBF and WCVB television stations, at Charles Jacquin et Cie and with CED in electrical distribution.

Faculty Who Led Sales Forces

The Professional Sales Program is led by Professors of the Practice with proven sales records at companies such as Volvo, Motorola, Xerox and Thomson. These full-time faculty spent entire careers in client-facing roles and were recognized as top sales performers, sales leaders and sales force executives. They teach the same techniques major corporations use to train newly hired sales forces.

University Accreditation

High Point University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and has been continuously accredited since 1951. SACSCOC has granted HPU Level V status, which authorizes a university to award doctoral degrees.

Student Recognition

Corporate Sponsors

Select companies sponsor the Professional Sales Program and run two three-day sales career fairs on campus each year, with networking, class presentations and a speed selling competition.

“Larry Quinn, chair of the Department of Marketing and Sales, has been there for me since my freshman year. He always expressed excitement for my successes and mentored me to become a motivated and determined individual.”
