Dr. Lukow, Chair of the Sport, Event, and Hospitality Management Department, has been a member of the faculty at HPU since 2006. She received her Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2001. She currently teaches Introduction to Sport Management and Sport Law.
Dr. Arden Anderson

Assistant Professor of Sport Management, Director of Sport Fellows
Dr. Anderson, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, joined the faculty at HPU in 2019 after receiving her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. She currently teaches Professional Development in Sport Management, Gender Issues in Sport, and Sport in Society. She is also the Director of the Sport Fellows program which provides select students with mentoring, opportunities to work together on creative and research projects, travel domestically and internationally, and extra training in professional development. Based upon her experience as a former Division I volleyball athlete, her current research interests include role identity, team cohesion, and the impact of college sport on athlete well-being.
Dr. Tim Koba

Assistant Professor of Sport Management
Dr. Koba, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, joined the faculty at HPU in 2021, from the University of Mount Union in Northeast Ohio. Prior to that he completed his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina and taught online for other institutions. He currently teaches Organizational Behavior in Sport, Strategic Management in Sport, and Sport Finance. His research interest is on financial management in sport and organizational effectiveness. Previously, he has worked in various sports medicine, fitness and consulting organizations. He takes a collaborative approach to teaching and strives to build relationships with local sport organizations to provide class project opportunities for students to combine class work with a community partner.
Dr. Drew Sanchez
Sanchez Drew
Deputy Athletics Director, Adjunct Instructor of Sport Management
Drew Sanchez was named the Deputy Athletics Director in August 2021. Sanchez had served as the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations for the prior academic year. Sanchez moved into this role in August 2020, after previously serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. He oversees all athletic compliance efforts for the department, in addition to being the departmental liaison with admissions, financial aid, housing/dining, registrar, and student accounts. Sanchez is the sport administrator for the baseball program and the men’s and women’s track and field/cross country programs. Sanchez also oversees the athletic communications department, as well as the department’s NIL program. Sanchez earned his juris doctorate degree from Marquette Law School in 2015 and currently teaches Sports Law.
