High Point University's Sechrest Gallery of Art hosted ARTIFACT [BOLD], a national biennial exhibition brought to life by the Department of Studio Art and Graphic Design. The exhibition celebrated contemporary graphic design, new media, illustration, printmaking, and expanded field practices, spotlighting designers whose work pushes creative boundaries through innovation, community, and diversity.
ARTIFACT [BOLD] welcomed submissions spanning a wide range of media from digital prints, photography, and animation to sculpture, ceramics, installations, book arts, and mixed media. We encourage work that challenges traditional contexts and embraces diverse forms of expression. Both student and professional works were considered, making it a true meeting ground for emerging and established creatives.
This year's juror was Miriam Martincic, a professional illustrator with an extensive background in business and editorial work, whose client roster includes prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
