Virtual COVID-19 Principal Panel

On October 5, 2020, principals from various Guildford County Schools, members of the Education Fellows, and students from the graduate Educational Leadership program at High Point University participated in a virtual discussion to understand the struggles, changes and achievements in education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each principal took turns talking about what their experience has been in the past several months after the initial wave of COVID-19. They discussed at length the hurdles which they have had to overcome, and even problems that have yet to be solved, since the pandemic has left uncertainty in its wake. Even though there have been many changes and obstacles the past few months, the principals who attended the seminar were openly optimistic about the future of education and the opportunities for innovation that COVID-19 has helped reveal. To paraphrase one of the attendees, rather than thinking outside box, it’s time to create “our own box”!
