The Media & Digital Services Department at Smith Library is dedicated to enhancing the creative and scholarly endeavors of High Point University students and faculty. As a key resource for technological learning, we offer comprehensive access to state-of-the-art multimedia and digital resources.
This includes an extensive range of media creation, editing, and viewing hardware, as well as our significant collections of physical and digital films, TV shows, and documentaries.
The department features a Media Lab, equipped with a wide array of makerspace materials and tools, and a Mini Studio, perfect for recording and editing audio and video projects such as podcasts.
Our knowledgeable staff provides the technical expertise necessary to effectively utilize these resources for class assignments, projects, and research. Additionally, we host frequent workshops that explore a broad spectrum of media topics, from historical techniques to current and emerging digital applications, ensuring our community is proficient in all forms of media.
