Dear Parent,
This month’s Parent Perspective highlights examples of HPU’s commitment to providing our students with academic excellence and life skills education. With the spring semester safely underway, we remain committed to safe and impactful in-person learning for all students.
For instance, our Office of Career and Professional Development continues hosting several Premier Life Skills Workshops each week. They also hosted an Interesting Internships Fair recently and continue to host employers who visit campus. Earlier this month, a representative from Coca-Cola Consolidated came to HPU to interview students for several internship positions. Their company guarantees internships to HPU students each year because they appreciate the personal initiative and motivation that HPU instills.
Our students are well-prepared with the ability to communicate with diverse groups of people, work well in teams, stay motivated and adapt amidst constant change. That is reflected in data collected by HPU in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) standards, which shows that 97 percent of graduates are employed or furthering their education within six months of graduation – 11 points higher than the national average. HPU’s alumni go on to live lives filled with success and significance, as you can see by just a few examples featured in this newsletter.
HPU’s faculty are not only experts in their disciplines, they’re also caring coaches and mentors focused on connecting meaningful experiences to classroom content to create well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world as it is going to be. Our campus is not only equipped with the finest technology for learning, it’s engineered to help your student reach their fullest potential.
As enrollment continues to grow, so do HPU’s academic programs. That’s why HPU receives numerous rankings as a top university in the nation. The world has taken notice of HPU’s academic excellence, and as coursework nurtures the mind of your student, HPU’s holistic education extends to nurture their hearts and souls.
Know that we appreciate your continued support and advocacy.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nido Qubein
HPU President
