If all FWSOP Guaranteed Admissions Program Requirements are met, HPU undergraduate students with a designated major of Pre-Pharmacy will matriculate to the FWSOP without competing via general admissions and their deposit fee will be waived. Transfer students who are working toward completing the required pre-requisites may still apply via the general admissions process using the PharmCAS application to the FWSOP but are not eligible for the HPU Pre-Pharmacy major Guaranteed Admission Program. FWSOP Guaranteed Admission (Direct Entry) Program Requirements:

  • Enrollment in the HPU pre-pharmacy major as a high school senior
  • Successful completion of the approved 65 credit hour course plan during two years of undergraduate studies with guidance from the HPU Pre-Pharmacy Major Sucess Coach and FWSOP Advisor. If college coursework from high school is eligible then course substitutions may be used with approval.
  • Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA at HPU with no grade below a “C-”.
  • Required membership in the HPU Pre-Pharmacy Club. Students are strongly encouraged to hold a leadership role.
  • Complete an electronic application using PharmCAS and submit it by November 1st of the year prior to beginning the pharmacy program (additional prerequisites may still be in progress).
  • Engage in professional behavior at all times. Any institutional or legal sanction will result in dismissal from the Guaranteed Admission Program.

Pharmacy Scholars earn Direct Entry early acceptance to for our Doctor of Pharmacy program. As a top academic student majoring in Pre-Pharmacy at HPU, our Direct Entry program gives students a clear advantage and allows them to be among the first students to be considered admitted for the HPU’s Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy’s PharmD class in their third year at the university. This two/four pharmacy program allows students to complete their undergraduate work AND their Doctor of Pharmacy degree in six years rather than eight.
