The High Point University School of Pharmacy faculty will hold membership in one of the two departments within the school. Each department will be headed by a Chair who reports to the Dean of the school. Faculty of the school will be appointed at the level of assistant, associate or full professor (or clinical track). In addition the school will offer adjunct and courtesy appointments at all levels.

Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS) department of the School of Pharmacy will be composed of 14 faculty members with expertise in Pharmacology & Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Faculty will divide their efforts between teaching, research and service. High Point University will seek faculty that are exceptional teachers and productive scientifically. Faculty will be expected to regularly contribute to the scientific body comprising the field of pharmacy.

 

Clinical Sciences

The Clinical Sciences (ClS) department of the School of Pharmacy will be composed of 21 faculty members. The members of the Clinical Sciences department will have expertise in the different specialty practice areas of pharmacy and in the social and administrative sciences. Faculty in the ClS department will also split their efforts between teaching, research and service. High Point University will seek faculty that are exceptional teachers and productive scientifically. Faculty will be expected to regularly contribute to the scientific body comprising the field of pharmacy.
