Day 4 | Lenten Message

When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me. Psalm 86:7

Devotional

Hearing God’s Voice

In Psalm 86:7, David is crying out to the Lord and asking for wisdom and protection. In a season of Lent, we are also drawn to God to hear His voice. We cry out to him through means of giving something up so that we can be better connected to Him.

The Lord’s voice is ever present in our life. It’s up to us to find where we hear Him best.

Some people get it wrong and think that God only speaks in a booming voice or through divine intervention. While this is true, we need to discover that the Lord speaks quietly and speaks to those who are willing to listen.

The Lord comes to us through His word. He always answers us! All the answers we need are in His story, the story of the Bible, and of the sending of His son to save us.

God’s voice is living! It is in the world and all around us, and we have the power to hear it through His word!
