When I was a kid, I always looked forward to Christmas time…I still do! The smell of the Christmas tree, the family dinner, all the candles that we had around the house, made for the perfect Christmas eve. There was something about Christmas time that was so incredibly special, whether it was the food, the presents, the family, or the service at church. I wanted to talk about hope because Jesus is still and will always be the hope of Christmas.
In a world filled with chaos and unrest, we find our hope in the Prince of Peace. Through faith in Christ, we can experience His peace that surpasses all understanding. As I sit watching the advent candle get closer and closer to becoming fully lit, I am reminded of God’s unwavering love and the joy that fills our hearts each day. Just as the birth of a child is a source of joy, Jesus’ birth is a source of eternal hope.
Thank God for this extraordinary gift. In times of darkness, we need hope to light our way. Jesus is the Light of the World, and in Him, we find hope.
