Spring 2015 Elections

Elected Positions

General Election: Student Body President, Secretary, Treasurer

*Class Elections: One (1) Class President & three (3) Class Officers per class

*Rising Senior, Junior, & Sophomore Classes will have elections in the spring. The incoming Freshman class will have elections in the Fall 2015.


Interest Meeting

An interest meeting for the General and Class Elections will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 immediately following the Senate meeting in Phillips 120.


Application Period

Applications will be available in the Office of Student Life, 3rd floor Slane.

General Election: available Monday, March 16 to Wednesday, March 18.  Applications DUE Wednesday, March 18.

Class Officers Election: available Tuesday, April 7 to Thursday, April 9.  Applications DUE Thursday, April 9.

Applications will be due by 12 noon on the date listed above. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON.


Campaign Week

Campaigning will begin after the Mandatory Candidate meeting on the last day of the application period and will conclude at 11:59 PM on the Sunday immediately following.**

General Election: Begins 5pm on Wednesday, March 18 and concludes at 11:59pm on Sunday, March 22.

Class Officers Election: Begins 5pm on Thursday, April 9 and concludes at 11:59pm on Sunday, April 12.

*No materials may be distributed or posted in dorms before this time.

**All campaign materials must be removed from dorms by this time and no materials may be distributed after this time.


Voting

Voting will be held on Blackboard and will begin at 12:01 AM on the Monday after campaigning and will close at 11:59 PM on the following Wednesday.

General Election: Opens at 12:01am on Monday, March 23 and closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 25.

Class Officers Election: Opens at 12:01am on Monday, April 13 and closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, April 15.

The candidates will be notified of the election results the day after voting closes by noon. An announcement will be posted later that day to the public.
