The Biology Club (BioClub) is open to all HPU students, regardless of their major. We do not charge dues. All that is required is a desire to learn about biology, network with students and faculty, and engage in science outreach!

The BioClub hosts a variety of events for its members, including field trips to the North Carolina Zoo, the Greensboro Science Center, and an annual spring trip to a destination selected by club members. Past spring trip locations have included road trips to Atlanta, Washington DC, and the Outer Banks. Science outreach events hosted by the BioClub include opportunities like volunteering with the HPU Mobile Lab, building science kits for children, and participating in Earth Week. The BioClub events are funded through our Student Government Association and fundraisers.

The BioClub also organizes events for the professional development of its members. During these professional development events, students meet alumni who are practicing scientists, interact with guest speakers from other institutions, and learn about different types of internships and career trajectories—from scientific research to health professions.
