The Summer Research Program in the Sciences (SuRPS) offers a variety of faculty-mentored research opportunities in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, neuroscience, and physics.
This 8-week summer program is offered through the Wanek School of Natural Sciences in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Works (URCW). Participants work closely with faculty to investigate meaningful scientific questions while building community, engaging in science outreach, and learning from visiting researchers who are leaders in their fields.
The summer culminates in a final symposium where students present their research through oral and poster presentations. Programs from past symposia are linked below.
Applications for 2027 open in spring 2027. Participants receive on-campus housing, a meal plan, and a stipend. Contact Dr. Kelsey Kean, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and SuRPS Director, at [email protected] with program questions.
