The Parent Perspective – Holiday Edition

Dear HPU,

Dr. Qubein often reminds your student that HPU is a values-based institution – that we are an extension of your home.

During the holidays, this includes decorating the campus to reflect the warmth and love that you create in your own home. Students appreciate the campus decorations, time-honored traditions, and simple forms of fellowship that center around the holidays.  Our diverse and engaged student body celebrate the holidays with a sense of gratitude and openness. From the Lessons and Carols Service, to our Hillel Chapter Hanukkah Dinner, to photos with Santa, HPU students appreciate their differences while celebrating their faith and traditions together. Click here to enjoy a video that shows it best.

We are proud to witness the character of your student and their classmates at HPU through many philanthropic and service initiatives that seek to help families in need. While students contribute more than 100,000 hours of service throughout the year, their passion to serve during Christmas and the holiday season is amplified.

As the semester ends and you welcome your student back home, know that the faculty and staff at HPU consider your partnership and advocacy a gift to be treasured. We are privileged to assist your student on this transformational journey and look forward to an extraordinary new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

Roger Clodfelter
Vice President for Communications
