Activities are faculty-and student-designed to engage children in the wonder and fun of science. Through this outreach, not only can children see that everyone, including themselves, can be scientists, but our students also develop communication skills and a strong sense of purpose as they apply science in a meaningful way.

History of the Mobile Lab
In 2016, HPU awarded a Think Big! Grant to Professors Coffield, Segarra, and Srougi that would provide HPU students enrolled in biology and chemistry courses the opportunity to teach science to our community through laboratory experimentation in a Mobile Lab. This grant led to the unveiling of the Mobile Lab in 2018. In recent years, it has been under the umbrella of the Natural Sciences Fellows Program.
Since its creation, the Mobile Lab has been featured in one academic publication and multiple presentations, including:
