SciQuest combines the passion of HPU science majors with hands-on activities where children can experience it for themselves in a festival atmosphere at the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children's Museum.
With faculty mentorship, students in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, neuroscience and physics create and lead activities where children explore science through experiences like extracting DNA from strawberries, interacting with insects, and even creating music with a piano made using bananas. The inflatable planetarium also joins the exhibit list. Sponsored by the Natural Sciences Fellows, Physics Department, and Culp Planetarium, it brings the night sky within reach, giving children an engaging, immersive experience.
