Lifelong Perspectives and Engagement Experience (LPE)
The Lifelong Perspectives and Engagement Experience (LPE) course series is five-semester longitudinal program throughout the FWSOP PharmD curriculum. The purpose of LPE is for students to develop communication, professionalism, time management, leadership, and interpersonal skills through meaningful engagement with older adults in the community. The program also fosters a deeper understanding of the aging process and the lived experiences of older adults. Students are paired with an older adult resident at a local partnering community, River Landing or Pennybyrn, and build a relationship with their resident over the course of the program.
