About today’s display: Today we are showcasing Professor Don Noone’s Merger Monday case he went over in his FIN-3010: Financial Management class.
A corporation’s principal activity is to invest in assets that can deliver returns to shareholders. An age-old question when looking at investing in assets is “Buy or Build?” In Wednesday’s class we looked briefly at Kimberly-Clark’s proposed acquisition of Kenvue, the maker of well-known consumer healthcare products. Kimberly-Clark has answered that question, for now, with a resounding “Buy.” Clearly, K-C is getting well-known brands, but they are also highlighting that they are getting broader global reach. – Prof. Noone
