The B.S.B.A. in Entrepreneurship will provide students with the skills necessary to determine the feasibility of their business ideas, obtain the knowledge and required proficiency in the development and writing of a business plan, understand how to identify a sound business opportunity and know how to conduct a feasibility analysis. Graduates will have the skills and background to launch their business enterprises or join a family business with much to offer.
The entrepreneurship major is intended for students who are interested in starting or purchasing a business, or who are considering working in a family-owned business upon graduation.
Upon completing the entrepreneurship major at High Point University, students will be able to:

**Business majors should complete BUA 1050 by the end of their sophomore year.
***ECO 2030 and ECO 2050 may not be used to meet the Social Sciences General Education requirement if students entered High Point University in academic year 2022-2023 or later. These students must select a different course to meet the Social Sciences requirement. Students who entered High Point University prior to summer 2022 may use ECO 2030 or ECO 2050 to meet their requirement.
****MGT 3280 satisfies the Gen Ed Experiential requirement for students entering in the Fall of 2024 or later.
1. At least 50% of traditional business credit hours in this major must be completed at High Point University. Traditional business subjects include courses with the following prefixes: ACC, BUA, ECO, ENT, FIN, MGT, and MKT.
2. Students are encouraged also to consider internships, undergraduate research, or independent study in business, beyond the standard requirements. An internship does not count towards the major.
