Computer Science Graduate Outcomes

HPU Computer Science graduates have started their careers and graduate studies in technology, finance, government and research.

Hanna Zelis, a computer science major with a cybersecurity concentration, enrolled in Northwestern University’s M.S. in Artificial Intelligence program after earning acceptances from Duke University, Johns Hopkins University and Carnegie Mellon University.

In finance and technology, Ryan Diaz joined Liberty Mutual Insurance’s TechStart Program in Boston, which pairs software development training with placement across the company. Kelsey Quinn, a double major in computer science and math economics, joined Bloomberg as a market data analyst on the fixed income team, automating systems and analyzing data with Python and SQL. At Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Michael Dreher, a business administration major who minored in computer science, became an associate business intelligence and data analyst in a role created as a continuation of his internship.

Other graduates serve in government. Amy Greaves, a mathematics major who minored in computer science, joined the U.S. Air Force, and Sydney Boratto, a criminal justice major who minored in computer science, joined the Internal Revenue Service as an internal revenue officer in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Computer Science Internships

Computer Science students complete internships with national employers and research organizations.

Nolan Roth interned at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, helping build and test a space probe instrument that analyzes the elemental composition of mineral grains on extraterrestrial bodies.

Several students interned in corporate technology. Tara Jue turned a business analyst internship at Morgan Stanley into full-time employment. Ryan Diaz worked as a global risk solutions data management intern at Liberty Mutual in Dover, New Hampshire, modernizing legacy systems with cloud and software technologies. At Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Albany, New York, Jackson Inchalik developed mobile applications and integrated Amazon Web Services with Microsoft products as an IT analytics intern.

Spencer Day completed a cybersecurity internship at La-Z-Boy, monitoring and investigating cyber incidents and developing usage policy. Grace Crockett worked as a programming instructor for Microsoft, teaching young students to code in JavaScript and build their own websites and games.
