Academic Fellowship Programs & Honors Scholars | Undergraduate Admissions

Are you ready for a more challenging and in-depth academic experience? High Point University offers the following innovative programs and fellowships to help you achieve those goals. Honors Scholars and Fellows are able to collaborate with fellow students and faculty to deepen their connection to their education and engage in undergraduate research opportunities.

Each student accepted and enrolling into the Honors or to any Fellows program is awarded an additional $3,000 per year merit scholarship

Honors Scholar Program (100)

A highly-selective program for students in any major interested in a qualitatively different college experience. A focus on problem-based learning, a living/learning community and interdisciplinary study are hallmarks of the program.

Business Fellows (100)

For students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Marketing and Sales who are interested in a deeper level of instruction in and experience of today’s ever-changing marketplace.

Communication Fellows (60)

For students majoring in Event Management, Game Design, Hospitality Management, Journalism, Media Production and Entrepreneurship, Popular Culture and Media Production, Sports Media, Social Media and Digital Communication Advertising or Public Relations.

Creative Arts Fellowship (25)

For students majoring in the Arts seeking an opportunity in a mutually supportive environment who are interested in exploring the nature and power of the creative process as a means to inform and inspire personal growth in the creative arts.

Education Fellows (25)

For students majoring in Elementary, Middle Grades or Special Education who desire unique faculty access, project-based learning and the opportunity for a cohort-based approach to generating innovative solutions to educational challenges.

Exercise Science Fellowship (40)

For students majoring in Exercise Science seeking an opportunity to participate in a progressive, four-year program within the field of exercise science and human movement that will develop their academic, professional, and personal skillsets.

Natural Sciences Fellows (60)

For students majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Physics interested in immediate research opportunities, faculty mentorship and professional development for the natural sciences.

Siegfried Leadership Fellows (100)

High Point University’s Leadership Fellows Program will challenge you to make a lasting contribution to our global community by equipping you with the tools and intellectual know-how to be a leader in not only today’s but also tomorrow’s ever-changing marketplace.

Strickland Women’s L.I.F.T. Fellowship (36)

Leading and Inspiring Female Trailblazers, The Strickland Woman’s L.I.F.T. Fellowship is created to provide female students with unique and impactful opportunities to strengthen their self-efficacy, leadership capacity, and capabilities.

To be considered for membership into the Honors Scholar and/or Fellows programs as a new student, you must first submit your High Point University undergraduate admissions application.

Next, complete the Honors Scholar and Fellows programs application through your PantherPage.
