Director of Entrepreneurship Fellows

Successful applicants to the School of Entrepreneurship Fellows Program will be majoring in Entrepreneurship, Event Management, Hospitality Management or Sales. These students are eager to be innovators and leaders in their chosen discipline. Applicants with experience in that discipline – competitions, sales, events, etc. – will have priority consideration. The program is highly selective and is limited to the top 35 incoming students in the School of Entrepreneurship.
To be considered for membership into the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program, you must first submit your High Point University undergraduate admissions application.
Then, please complete your Business Fellows application through your PantherPage by January 15 for priority applicants, and by March 1 for all others.
Entrepreneurship Fellows will receive a $3,000 scholarship renewable annually based on academic performance and continued participation in the program. This is in addition to the High Point Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship, or Presidential Fellowship. Fellows must meet GPA and professionalism requirements to be awarded continuation of their fellowship into the next academic year.
Students in the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program have unique opportunities to:
Freshman Year
- Take one innovation/leadership course together
- Attend colloquium discussions together with Innovators in Residence and other local experts
- Team building exercises and celebrations – will include the Ropes Course
- Develop a relationship with a local non-profit organization to support throughout the four years at HPU
- Engage in discipline specific local activities in the Triad and North Carolina
Sophomore Year
- Attend colloquium discussions focused on leadership development
- Team building exercises, competitions and celebrations
- Complete a service project with your local non-profit organization
- Engage in discipline specific activities in the Southeast United States.
Junior Year
- Take one leadership/professional development course together
- Attend colloquium discussions focused on networking and professional development
- Participate in competitions and celebrations
- Support your local non-profit organization by developing a new program offering or fundraising effort
- Engage in discipline specific travel to an event or conference in the US (Consumer Electronics Show, etc.)
Senior Year
- Attend colloquium discussions focused on mentorship and connections to relevant industry experts
- Participate in competitions and celebrations
- Culminating project for your local non-profit organization including developing an impact report

- Participate in travel to develop design thinking skills in the US (Stanford D-School, MIT Design Lab, etc.
